What I think: While music feeds the soul, nothing else props up a musician quite like praise from the artists who hire him and the folks behind the scenes.  I'm honored by the opportunities that find me, allowing me to reach new levels and broaden my musical scope.  My father, a doghouse bassist from the rock and roll '50s, gifted me with some advice that I continue to live by; it works in other areas besides music.  He said "Son, if you really want to play music for a living, just show up on time, stay sober, and be professional.  Do that and you will never be out of work.  In other words: don't be late, don't get drunk, and don't be a dick."  Oh, the pearls of wisdom that came from my pop.  I humbly submit the following:

      What I've been told:
"I honestly can't imagine working with anyone else on drums. You have such a strong groove and add so much to the vibe."
-Seth Z, music director, Gimme Some Lovin', Portland OR

"Vince-You made the gig happen. Wow, you are my drumming hero! Selfishly, you made my work a walk in the park."
      -Rooster Ross, guitarist, Portland OR

"Yes, thanks Vince-you rock! I appreciate your help!"
      -Joe McMurrian, Woodbrain, Portland OR

"You get props for being prepared and doing your homework- that made big points with me and Vance and Lars."
-Mark Stuart, Bastard Sons Of Johnny Cash, Austin TX

"Well, after hearing Vince on that first pass, he pretty much is a click-track."
-Brad Wager, Vault Studios, Portland OR

      "You are a machine"
-Robbie Laws, award-winning guitarist, Portland OR

"You were so great. I really appreciate how on it and aware that you were. I'd use you anytime."
-Catherine Loyer, Strawberry Roan, Portland OR

"Vince, your drumming last night was stellar!  Relentless, relaxed, and natural.  It was like listening to Fred Below come
to life from the grave.  Even Josh Fulero had to turn around and look!  I will play with you anytime -- anywhere."
-David Kahl, bassist, Dover Weinberg Quartet, Portland OR

"It makes it very pleasant to play [with] a phenomenal drummer like Vince. Great drummer."

-Gary Fountaine, bassist at large, Portland OR

"Besides Jimi [Bott], you're the only other drummer who can actually sit-in and keep up with Joe."
-David Lipkind, Joe McMurrian Quartet, Portland OR

"We couldn't do that song with any drummers we've had. They all kept speeding up in the same section. It was impossible for all of them. But you held it down and kept it steady. What a gifted drummer."
-Bruce Smith & the Boda Boyz
      , Seaside OR

"Man, I just love the way you play. It's solid, simple...perfect."
-Billy D, blues vanguard, Billy D & the Hoodoos, Portland OR

"Vince-it was great to have you playing drums on my trip-thank you so much!  Hope to see you again before long."
-Big Joe Louis, blues troubadour, London UK

"It's always such a pleasure to play with a professional musician."
-Melody Guy, hit songwriter/singer, Nashville TN

"As far as I'm concerned, there are only three drummers in Portland I will hire: my regular guy, the drummer from Hall & Oates, and you."
-Danny Hay Davis, guitarist and entertainer, Portland OR

Vince Adáme is perhaps one of the brightest shining stars
to come out of Portland, Oregon in over a decade.  His energy and proficiencies give to him an aura of complete control and mastery of his instruments.  Vince Adame is one of the area's busiest and most popular drummers and for good reasons. He is of professional appearance, tight in style, and his meter is perfect.
      -Bruce Maier, editor, damngoodtunes.com

"Nice job with Big Joe Louis at Duff's Friday.  Fun show!"
-Greg Johnson, president, Cascade Blues Assoc., Portland OR

"You rule.  Thanks for saving the show last night, and for kicking major ass in the process."
-Sean Nowland, bassist-Funk Shui, Portland OR

Drummer Vince Adáme lays out a solid steady beat that is true to the cover tunes, but unique in the original tunes. Adame shows great creativity [and] without overpowering the other musicians. Adame is a team player but doesn’t hesitate to shine when the time is right.
-Linda Phillips, Positively Entertainment & Dining

Adáme ties it all together with a rock steady flow, keeping it all cozy in the pocket. Add it all up and you get the total package.
-Kurt Johnson, Positively Entertainment & Dining
